The saying « He took to it like when Obélix was small » sums up well the passion of hunting that characterizes François.
Recruited to give our outfitter a seal of excellence and quality, in terms of woodcock hunting, François is considered the « woodcock hunter of Quebec »
His passion and interest has him prepared and active for 3 seasons; from spring to the end of autumn, he surveys the biotope and woods of « aspen » and « alder » to discover the covert and the female woodcock and the furtive grouse.
He is « lively » & always ready at any given time to share his passion.
Woodcock hunting demands in the Quebec coverts, a dose of courage and a bit of independence, the German shorthaired pointer has by François, the required qualities to move without rest through the challenges while demonstrating a great quality of cooperation and recovery.
François demands impeccable work from his dogs.
Past master in the art of finding the woodcock and handling his dogs in a hunting situation, François searches to give us a quality stay. He will share with you his knowledge, his passion and his enthusiasm during your vacation. He will attempt to improve your techniques and your skills in order to maximize your chances as your encounters are not always obvious with game.

Paul Brassard

Hunting for 30 years and specializing in hunting with pointer dogs versatile in waterfowl and forest game for more than 20 years. Courage, intensity at work and versatility are the qualities he looks for in his dogs. The woodcock and its manners fascinate him and he is always interested in learning, and this, for more than 20 years. Respect of the resources to perpetuate this intimate contact between the master, his dog and the game always drove him.
His customer approach is based on respect and professionalism. He demands rigorous and cooperating from his dogs. Sharing his experience and getting to know the particulars of the hunt in the Quebec coverts are priorities to facilitate adaptation for non-residential hunters.
Offering the best possible chance for woodcock hunting and ruffed grouse and to live a good time all while watching our dogs or yours are his priorities.
