Sea trout fishing
Brook trout anadromous

The Robidoux Lakes Outfitter offers you safari-fishing for sea trout, in east and west branches on Petite-Cascapédia, from June 25 to August 31.

The size of these trout can go from 2 to 7 lbs., with some exceptions of 10 lbs.

A river safari is unique and magic.

Our sea trout adventures are very coveted.

The Petite Cascapédia River:
The east branch separates from the main section of the river fork and will spawn a path of more than 30 km in the Chic-Choc Mountains. This section of the river is inaccessible by road the first 15 km. This part of the river can only be reached by canoe. We search for trout but also salmon is found in this beautiful part of the river. The pools, even if they are small, resemble those of the main tributary. Arriving at the 15th km, there exists another route of access that follows the river another 20 km. This route is difficult and many of the secondary roads show that the best way to travel is still by canoe. This section is wild and pure, you can be assured it is an exclusive area to pursue trout.

Forcing a passage through the boreal forest, the west branch sometimes resembles a stream in spring; ice jams of wood garnish this small branch. Its water is ideal for very plump trout … it is one of my preferred place on earth!!! We regularly catch fish of 5, 6 and 7 lb and occasionally 8 or 9 lb It is one of the most beautiful parts of the river to travel and explore…. Certain parts of this branch welcome fish that travel it every year, similar to the migration of salmon. We have been fishing this branch for decades, we respect and know them intimately…

Moreover, on the return of your day of fishing, our guests have equal access to fly fishing on our lakes. What a great way to finish a day by catching a few beautiful native brook trout with dry flies.
